Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Mix in key lime juice and zest. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with milk.

  5. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, then stir in key lime juice and zest.
