Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C) and prepare a bundt pan by greasing and flouring it.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the sour cream, buttermilk, and distilled white vinegar until the batter is smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Stir in red food coloring until you achieve the desired vibrant red color.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for approximately 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
